We have our eyes set on the moon and beyond. Humans are returning to the lunar surface for the first time since the Apollo program, and this time we're here to stay. This requires a better understanding of the lunar terrain than ever before.
Whether it be to scope out potential landing sites, habitat locations, or mining areas, we need systems in place to acquire that data. And traditional rovers are just far too slow to make that happen.
